  1. The document called Jaws Icon can be opened only from within ResEdit.
  2. It contains two icons which can replace the two Trash Can icons inside your Finder.
  3. WARNING:  Only try this on a backup copy of the Finder.  When you’re 
  4. satisfied that it works, then put it onto a good System Disk.
  5.  
  6. To carry out the conversion, start up ResEdit and:

  8. (1)  Open Finder.  Open ICN#.
  9. (2)  Open Jaws Icon document.  Open ICN#.  Set aside the window.
  10. (3)  Select one of the Jaws icon by clicking on it once.  Copy.  (Don’t cut!)
  11. (4)  Activate the Finder’s ICN# window by clicking inside it.
  12.      Do not select any of the icons.  Make sure none of the icons is selected.
  13.      That means none of them should be surrounded by a square.
  14. (5)  Paste.
  15. (6)  Repeat steps 3,4, and 5 with the other Jaws icon.
  16. (7)  If all went well, you should have replaced the two 
  17.      trash can icons with Jaws.
  18. (8)  Just to be sure, click on each Jaws icon and Get Info.
  19.      The hungry Jaws should be ID #130, the smiling one ID #134
  20. (9)  Close all windows, saving changes to Finder.
  21. For further fun, open the STR# resource inside Finder, and open the 
  22. resource called STR# 128.  Scroll down to the box that says Trash Can and
  23. replace it with the words Feed Me, or Jaws, or whatever.
